Monday 19th July 2021 or ‘Freedom Day’ as it will now be known in the UK, was a monumental moment for us all. Or so it was expected it to be!
Looking forward to returning to the office, getting together with friends and family, enjoying a drink in the pub with colleagues or planning a trip abroad, Freedom Day was the day all of this became possible in our lives once again.
This time in 3 weeks, the Olympics will commence! What better way to celebrate it than a team Olympic Challenge to get everyone together, boost wellbeing, have a laugh, motivate teams and celebrate the world’s most renowned sporting competition.
That is exactly what Red e2 have been working on this week with one of our clients and what fun it is going to be!
Choosing a destination for an incentive travel programme historically has been somewhere outside of the UK, somewhere with sunshine, a beach, great choice of activities and nightlife, and the like. The glitz and glamour of Dubai, the skyscrapers of The Big Apple, the snow-covered slopes of Whistler, but now it’s time for the UK to showcase the incredible destinations that lies within its shores.
With the UK and Ireland’s lockdown exit strategies taking shape, Hospitality events are re-emerging this Summer. With the success of spectator test events over the last few weeks, health and safety of all attendees are event organisers’ highest priority as we start planning for some fun!
Everything has changed, nothing has changed. Without doubt our world is different, the world of work is different, and it has yet to settle. A few months ago the conversation was all about remote working, closing down offices and the impact on the various sectors such as retail and hospitality in the centres of our large cities.
The impact of the pandemic has changed so much in our lives.
As we emerge from Covid we look at how the shape of Group Incentive Travel will change to reflect not only the impact of the pandemic but also our changed view of ourselves and the world in which we live.
Today, the UK Government has confirmed the easing of lockdown measures will go ahead as planned. Hurrah, I hear you say!
We look forward (so called Indian variant permitting) to the further removal of the many restrictions we have endured over the last year on the 21st of June.
During the pandemic, we, red e2, needed to think differently about how to reward groups that would usually enjoy an annual overseas travel incentive.
This approach deemed extremely successful with one client who we would ordinarily work with to provide a high-end trip for winners of its highly fought for incentive.
Back in the good old days of large events, Rede2 was briefed by one client to organise a Summer event for 190 employees to include a team building activity, evening party with entertainment and an overnight stay.
Our Solution was to hire a stunning location and create a full-on Festival-Feel with 51 fully furnished Bell Tents for sleeping, all pitched up around a beautiful, picturesque lake!
As senior project manager at red e2 my role is provide solutions to companies looking to reward and recognise their employees for their hard work and performance, which comes in on time and on budget.
We recently had a client brief for a solution that would provide a thank you gift of choice to over 2250 people. Now there’s a challenge I thought 😉
Over the past 12 months during the COVID pandemic, all we have been hearing about is R.
Rules and Restrictions that tell us what we can and cannot do. The R-rate and how this is impacting daily life. And the Resilience we have had to have to see us through the challenges the situation has enforced upon us.
With lockdown rules being relaxed, now is the time to turn R on its head and look towards the future!
